Gratitude & 2018 Holiday Memorial

It is incredibly heart-warming to have had so many families come out to support the 2018 holiday memorial.

Our team spends many nights up late working to personalize the ornaments and prepare the photo garland. By the end of the week, three of our team members have memorized all the names and images of all the beautiful souls are ingrained in our memory.

While the memorial initially started as a way to deal with our own loss, we have come to find such importance in the meaning in provides others. Moreover, we feel we’ve gotten to know the many loved ones who we set out to remember.

We truly feel so privileged to honor their memory and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your holiday traditions.

This year’s memorial would not have been possible without the support of those who donated and/or came out to decorate. With nearly 400 ornaments and over 220 pictures we were very much grateful for the 50+ volunteers who came out to decorate the tree-giving each ornament the attention and care they would their own loved ones.

Special thanks to our sponsors, the families of Michael Neuman and Kelly Ann Brown whose financial support provides Wake the Nation with a tree and ornament supplies.

Many thanks to families of Dylan O’kray, Matthew Stefani, Ryan Malik, Bobby Tumlinson Jr., Travis Carnes Sr., and Colin Huebner who made generous donations to ensure this holiday memorial happened. We are so grateful!

The trees over the past six years would not get decorated without the help of the extremely dedicated families of David Schreck, Randy Albrecht Jr., and Alec Ramp who annually dedicate their time to preparing the tree.

We are so appreciative of all those who made donations, gave their time, or joined us to decorate. Every bit is responsible for making this memorial possible and we couldn’t do it without you.

Our Sincerest Gratitude,
The Wake the Nation Holiday Memorial Team
